I'm new to the game and I don't know how to unlock secrets
Anyone else stuck on chapter 4. Im missing a frame, a feather, and one of the stat points (the one typically assigned to "act natural")
Whenever an emblem has appeared in the past it would prevent the "skip" functionality from working (as long as you dont have it enabled to continue after choices)
However I have gone through the time rewind like 5 times and have found nothing. I even went back to old chapters to check and see if the missing stat was from before (in the hope that whatever this enables me to do will allow me to unlock the frame and feather outside of the main chapter content..
It almost seems like there is just a whole missing "part" in the chapter or something like that, unless there legitimately is a secret choice, and both the frame and feather dont have the emblem show up

It was bugged. Upon loading back to start of chapter it finally gave me the missing parts. Last decision before altar for the stat. Feather near altar, frame on runic barrier. Really wishing there was like a forgiveness system that would just unlock everything after 5 entire rewinds

Can you make it so the secret frames get triggered by finger over them rather than finger release? Having to find them to progress is already absurdly annoying --- made substantially worse by the fact that I dont know if the emblem is for the frame or the damn code, so I dont even know if im just not seeing it or if it isnt there. Then going back because I'm pretty sure its there, I have to keep pressing the back button because clicking on anything else progresses the scene

The Soul Catcher is for the alarm girls in Chapters 1 and 2. 3 in Chapter 1 and 1 in chapter 2.
HHello everyone I'm having some problems with the new update.
I just hit the scene with sona in chapter 2 and it kicks me out of the game as soon as it changes scene. I've never had a problem before. I've deleted the whole game and reinstalled it but I still get shut out when I get to that scene. I've tried to save my progress at the scene but as soon as I tap menu it kicks me out. I'm on the android game so I'm confused as to what is happening?

Way too much effort. You should give people the option to choose a more traditional story experience. not everyone has good memory to remember long codes, and I doubt anyone wants to be taking notes while, well, you know. Not to mention, not everyone understands chess as well so those people are gated from that content since no one is gonna go through the effort to learn it for that. You're intentionally cutting off a huge player base when so many more people could enjoy your game if it wasn't a chore to play. I like parody games when they're done well, which visually this one is, but it's just an extremely annoying gameplay experience.
You don't have to play chess to proceed in this game; you never had to. With v0.4 (Public Release), you also don't need to unlock Strip Chess (for the first chapter only) to progress to the next chapter. I agree with you about it's impact on the player base. Thanks for the honest feedback.
I never said you had to play the chess to progress, but it is still content nonetheless that some people won't get to experience because they don't want go through all of that. all the juicy stuff in the game is locked behind annoying puzzles. In some games that might be alright, and some people might enjoy that, but I would assume I'm speaking for a fairly big majority when I say that a visual novel is supposed to be relaxing like reading a book. After all, they are just adult picture books in a way. No one wants to read a picture book where they can't turn the page until they do a really convoluted puzzle first. It's the main reason a lot of visual novels are letting the player choose between sandbox or a more traditional experience since sandbox even can be really tedious.
If you don't like it, don't play it. Many of us actually do enjoy the extra stuff. Seriously. Chess is a major part of HS DxD. I love that Naitoh put in the effort to add that and set his game aside from every other VN. All it does is give alternate outfits for a single room so you aren't missing out if you don't wanna do it. As someone who learned chess by playing with their father at age 4, I love it.
I personally don't mind the chess because I'm aware that there isn't much content behind them, I was just adding it as something to be mindful of. There are a ton of other VN's that do similar things for players to unlock bonus content, which I like. The real issue is accessibility, is there really a reason to lock players behind unnecessarily long codes? If they are gonna have a feature like that it should be tied into optional content like the chess since it takes your focus away from the story since your trying to remember the code. There are people in the world who don't have that kind of memory retention. If your passionate and want to show people what you created, shouldn't you try to make it accessible to as many people as possible? But in all honesty, do you really need to whiteknight for the dev? It's feedback. Regardless of whether it's positive or negative, it's something for the developer to take in and reflect upon. THEY decide whether or not to listen. I'm not telling them how to make their game, I'm making a suggestion. THEY decide whether that suggestion is worth consideration. Not me, not you; them. It's ultimately their game to develop after all. I just felt that it was a waste of potential, since I genuinely think they did a great job on the visuals. It's just hard to appreciate them and understand what's going on when I'm distracted by meaningless puzzles and such that, to my knowledge, serve no purpose or have any relation to the story at all. 🤷♂️
Ah! I see now what you meant. I do agree, as does the dev, that the code thing in chapter 1 was rather long and complicated. All other chapters have been much easier to unlock the chess game. As to what I said, I wouldn't call my defense "White knighting". It just seemed like you were going on and on about how it made the game not worth playing, which I see now isn't the case. Tone and inflection are lost in translation thru text. I apologize if I came across too strong and appreciate you taking the time to clarify.
Hey Naitoh, thank you for granting the wish of many frustrated people who watched the anime and have been pissed off that it teased us because it is all about sex and yet nothing sexual ever actually happens because it is an anime for kids therefore thank you so much for granting us an adult version who doesn't blue-ball us at last. 😉
But could you please actually include the events from inter-chapters INTO the actual story?
Because you are actually frustrating us too if you grant us sexual content only to tell us that it didn't actually happen because each chapter continues the story right where the previous chapter left it which implies that everything between chapters is some fan-service which didn't actually happen in the story which is very frustrating so could you please actually include it into the story?

Everything's enjoyable so far. The chess minigame is hard but doable. The replay is a big plus! It can help you gather the missed sacred frames. There are so many unique things that you can't find on other adult games which are great!
The only thing that I wish is after the chapters you should insert the sandbox element so that you can go to other places and interact with other girls as well. But that's just wishful thinking.
Btw how can you increase stats after every chapter? I'm having a hard time collecting blood because some events need for example 31 confidence and 39 act natural but at the end of the chapter you will only get either 25 confidence and 28 act natural.

Oh, an adult version of High School DxD, yes! I was so frustrated when I watched that anime and I was seeing the pervert male protagonist being surrounded by naked willing girls and doing nothing because it was an anime for kids, FINALLY an adult version which is not all teasing and hanging and things actually happen, a dream is coming true, thank you Naitoh and please don't stop before completion! 😆
I hope the story will start detaching from the anime soon... Because let's be honest, High School DxD isn't loved for its story but for Rias's tits and her amazing underwear collection
What do you dislike about the story? I hate the anime because it is all teasing and blue-balling but I didn't dislike the story itself, I only wished all the teasing was not for nothing, which is exactly what this adult visual novel is, the original story but without blue-balling us, what is there to dislike? 😁
When it tries to be serious because the serious scenes are either ruined by having no build up (Asia's fake out death in episode 5 and basically anything Asia related because she's the least likeable female character with a full name - I personally don't like her) or ruined by "comedy" (retcon of the last 4 eps of season 3 when they resolved the issue with Oppai Dragon song).
Most of it just isn't memorable.
Indeed, I agree, this is why this adult version exists to stop censuring adult situations with childish comedy and get more serious since this is not for kids as opposite to the anime. 😉

No, you're wrong, the story is incredible and for me in the anime the scenes🔞 of this anime are just a plus, something that makes an anime that is already incredible a little better
There are no right or wrong opinions on whether or not you like something and to be fair highschool dxd's story did suck, it sucked bad, the fan service was the only good thing. They had a cool idea but they executed it terribly in the anime. Theres no actual deserved growth in Issei at all, whenever an opponent way stronger than him shows up he is either saved by someone else or just instantly unlocks a new power. Only a tad bit of actual character developement and actual relationship focus. It's filled with power creep but it ramps so fast it's more like a power curve wall with each new enemy being way stronger than the last. Even though it's quality is low due to everything they did poorly you are free to like it, but there are standards to rate shows by an this show scores very poorly for quality.
To be completely honest, the Novels were great and that's basically all story with little to no art. Anime adaptations (specially at that point in time) weren't known for being all that accurate, so I think the show did lack on some aspects, but still second season kinda picked the pace up. A shame it went downwards after that.
My point being: yes, the story is enjoyable and lighthearted, no need to nitpick on the power scaling when it never was the focus of the series. There are far worse contenders even in modern times, but I do agree the anime could be better adapted
I couldn't imagine watching HS DxD solely for "Rias's tits". It was my first anime and I liked it because I thought Issei "the MC" was funny. The idea that a guy could be so obsessed for boobs that he would suddenly say out of pocket things made it very entertaining. Your comment towards Asia is completely biased but everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

It bothers me too that DxD calls every demon "devil" whereas the devil is supposed to be the supreme demon and there is supposed to be only one. 🤔
that is just in Christianity and a few similar religions my friend, their are religions with beliefs of multiple devilish figures in their mythos though generally they don't use the word devil, but the beings are pretty much the exact same in function. With all the games and stories and shows and movies and books I partake in now when I see the word devil I just think one of, if not the highest level demon(s) in control of that series version of the underworld

Then they proceed to complain about nonsense they made up, all on a fucking porn game, which, if they are religious they shouldn't be playing anyway.
I mean hell why even be a fan of DxD in the first place? It has "demons" as a separate race instead of being the "fallen angels" that they are. And fallen angels are a third race somehow... Get over it dude. Fuck.
